Whether you’re delivering in the hospital or at home, you can have a Fresh 48 photo session with your new addition. A Fresh 48 session is, simply put, a portrait session done within the first 48 hours after your baby is born. Most of the time, these take place in a hospital, but not always.
What’s the difference between a Fresh 48 and Newborn Session?
One of the most noticeable differences between a newborn session and a Fresh 48 session is the posing. During your Battle Creek Fresh 48 session, I still provide direction, but there is less hands-on posing.
Let’s feature the flowers that have been sent by family, the blanket knitted by grandma, and capture some of the details of those first couple days.
How long does a Fresh 48 session take?
A Fresh 48 session is much quicker than a newborn session, and should take less than an hour from the time I arrive to the time I leave. There are always exceptions – for example, if you have other small children you want to include, or baby is extra fussy. I won’t rush things, and just like my newborn sessions, I’m always working around how baby is feeling. In a hospital setting, that includes stepping out if medical staff need me to.
A Fresh 48 session captures the raw emotions, unique details, and the love that surrounds your new baby. These precious photographs will become treasured keepsakes you’ll cherish forever.
